  1. ‘I can enjoy heavy metal music performed by experienced musicians compared to the clearly manufactured j-rock/j-pop tracks in Macross 7’

You know your talking about Yoshiki Fukuyama (Vocal/Guitar) ?
You know, the ‘inexperienced’ guy who also play in JAM project ?
The ‘inexperienced’ band who record OST for Super Robot Taisen ?

You don’t like Fukuyama ? Ok ! But don’t say that he is an inexperienced musician !

‘Actually I think she is a better singer than Basara too’

They are both good singers. It’s just that they have differents styles.

‘A facepalm moment that I consider as one of the most stupid scenes in mecha anime history.’

There are ‘ridicoulous’ thing in this anime, but not much than other series. You have completly miss the pacifist side of the main protagonist (and the anime as well).

‘I’m skipping Macross Dynamite, do not want to see Nekki Basara again’

You should watch it. It’s very different.
The songs part is not as important as the main story.
Also, Dynamite is very short !

    See Ya !

I know who Yoshiki Fukuyama is. Do you think he is better than John Sykes that performs in Kachou Ouji? Yoshiki Fukuyama exactly looks amateurish when compared to one of the best guitarists in the world. Saying JAM Project is good is like calling Morning Musume or Alice Nine great musical acts.

They are both good singers. It’s just that they have differents styles.

Yet when it come to a certain song that both of them performed at different times, the main female protagonist notably do better. Hmmmm…..

I know that other anime titles may have ridiculous things too (see Myself Yourself, Minami-ke et.al.) but the previous Macross titles before this one doesn’t have them, and so are the similar mecha title Kachou Ouji. Whatever the story this anime has, they were overshadowed by too much music in it. Moderation is not this anime virtue. This is a Japanese anime title, not some Bollywood titles (thank god there is no dancing in this anime).

I know Macross Dynamite is short, but I am not going to watch it.

      • Oups, sorry for the double post ! ^^’

No, I don’t think he is better, but he certainly is an experienced musician. And there plenty of Japaneses band that are far worse than JAM. The fact is that Fukuyama can realy sing his soul and that is the most important thing regardless he is a good singer or not.

But let’s not fight any further, you’ve have the right to dislike Seven. ^^But It don’t make it a crappy anime or anything like that.

(I will watch Kachou Ouji, because it sound like something I will enjoy too.)

        I don’t bear a grudge against you anyway ! ^^
